The Walk

I had such a wonderful night last night with two of my dear friends Julia and Aurora. We first went and had sushi together along with some wonderful conversation. Then we walked to Barnes and Noble and got lost in some books and music (with dancing) for a bit. We then took a drive out to the base of the Superstition Mountains and parked by a trail. It started getting really windy and the smell of rain was so nice. We sat down all together after walking for a while and watched the lightning light up the mountain and talked. It was truly something out of a dream. The wind, the lightning, the smell, the cresent moon, the huge mountain right next to us, everything! I was so content with it all and didn't want to leave. I felt submerged in nature at it's finest hour. I feel so lucky to have been out there at that time to see it all. I love my friends.

Just reading this gave me chills. I could see it and smell it as I read it. Oh Arizona monsoons, love them?
