I've been doing a lot of yoga lately. I used to hate it because I'm a lazy sack of bones but now I love it. My friend is a yoga instructor and she is always letting me come to her classes for free. I love that. She hosted one at her house the other night. It was just me and my 3 good friends out in gold canyon. We did an awesome session and I actually got up into a flying crow! (a headstand) Then she turned on some music really loud and told us to skip. She literally meant to skip around so all of my friends and I were just skipping like idiots around the house but we were laughing so hard. At the end when it was time to meditate I reached such a beautiful place in my head, which is rare for me. I could see my energy in a physical form/shape. It was bright and beautiful and full of movement.
After we finished we drank some wine and sat in the hot tub and talked about life under the stars. Then we got the instruments out and jammed out and sang our hearts out in the recording studio. It was so fun! I love my life, my friends, and my ability to do a freaking head stand alone.

Today's Shoot
I have known Allie since I was about 8 years old or even younger. We had a lot of fun growing up together and we got into a TON of trouble. I'm sure my mom is having flash backs right now as she is reading. Ha. :) She is having a girl in a month and I am so excited! I went to her house today and took these. She's just so beautiful! WE chased that bird around the house for like 20 minutes. Finally I threw a blanket over the bastard and caught him. I saw that heart at Michaels and my idea came out pretty nicely. :) She's a rocker chick with an attitude and I think these portray her very well.

I decided I'm going to venture into the sewing world. I've sewn before with my mom but she's always been by my side. She's a master at sewing. No joke. She is so good it makes me jealous. I am going to be making my own clothes from now on I think. Well, that is if I can keep my patience levels higher than normal. I tend to get extremely frustrated and impatient with sewing when trying before. But, this time is different because I REALLY want to do it. I would much rather wear something that my own hands have made then go try to find it. I love vintage clothes and they are hard to find sometimes. I have been going to the fabric stores my whole life with my mom but now when I go I feel overwhelmed with ideas. I'll keep everyone posted on anything I make but you cannot laugh or else! Here is an example of some patterns that I just have to get my dirty hands on. I mean, are you kidding me? I can have clothes like this? Lead the way!!!!I can't wait to get started! The link is on my fav's.

Rise and Shine!
I love waking up to a dim room, knowing there is a blanket of clouds outside. I love the feeling the clouds bring. I grabbed a book and sat out on my patio while the breeze said good morning to me. I'm reading "the power of now" again. It is such a good book, especially for crazy people like myself who's mind tends to get the best of them. Sometimes I wonder how I stay out of a straight jacket and a white padded room. Who knows, maybe someday I'll be there. This world, outer space, humanity, the ocean, planes, telephones and the television never cease to amaze and confuse me so much that I have to stop thinking about it or I get way too close to a place of no return. Sigh. I guess for now I'll just get some spiritual enlightenment from my book and let the rest just be. Good Morning Everyone.

Perfect Poem
I hear it calling me,
In the middle of the night.
A whisper at my window,
Beckoning me to frolic,
In the cool summer breeze.
It blows gently through my hair,
As I dance across,
The soft green grass,
The wind tickles my feet,
When the breeze ruffles through the grass.
I dance to a pond where,
Every time I sit down,
At the murky water,
I can see my reflection,
By the moonlight dancing,
Across the water.
My reflection fades away,
When a willow branch whips,
At the water, and cast,
A ripple that continues,
Throughout the pond.
I lay here gazing up,
At the starry night,
Wondering how it can,
Be so beautiful.
And if it would last forever,
But then I realize that,
Not every thing lasts forever,
But comes once more,
After anther day,
Comes upon us.

I love this.

Day Date with Rob
We had a day alone! We went downtown to see the Cubs play. Let me just say, the energy down at Wrigley Field is like nothing I've ever felt or been around. I had so much fun. Just looking out onto the field for the first time gave me goosebumps. They won and Rob and I had a blast cheering and meeting people. This guy in the white shorts graced us with his presence. We then walked down to the lake. It doesn't look like a lake. It is HUGE. We had so much fun. We walked by this park and some bums were fighting. It was hilarious.

Chicago (nature, park)
We went to a park down the street from Robs mothers home and it was so pretty! There were weeping willows hanging over the pond and huge trees and flowers everywhere. I swear I looked like some crazy person because I was just in awe and couldn't get used to the fact that it was a park that these people in the neighborhood have at their back doorsteps! Some of these pics are from other locations also.

Chicago! (The Marsh)
We have been in chicago for the last week. It was so much fun and SO beautiful there. I will be posting in catagories so I can describe each event. I took a lot of photos on this trip so get ready. Rob took me to this marsh and I was like a kid in a candy store. It was SO amazing. It was a windy day, not humid at all and in the 80's. I just had to get Larz naked and take pics of his butt.
